Common health ailments and remedies

Human bodies are made up of muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons. We do multiple levels of activities on a daily basis after which our bodies need rest in the form of sleep during which it performs the action of wear and tear on our body muscles. This wear and tear repairs flexes the muscles by replacing the worn out muscles which ensures that our bodies continue to perform efficiently. Since our lifestyle has become extremely sedentary due to inadequate mechanical work we often suffer from many body ailments such as back pain, neck pain, joint pain etc. Sometimes due to excessive excursion we experience certain injuries that need immediate gratification so as to avoid anything serious. Usually people go for self medication in these cases without understanding the cause of the pain and end up with major injuries.


Shoulder pain and neck pain are one of the most common problems today that is persistent among people of all age groups. Most of the times the pain occurs due to some kind of injury or due to improper body posture while sitting or sleeping that cause the pain. Also some people have a problem of stiff shoulders or frozen shoulders as it is popularly known which occurs due to deposition of calcium on the muscle tendons. Shoulder dislocation is one of the serious shoulder injuries in which the arm bone becomes disconnected from the spatula. Shoulder injury treatment consists of different therapies and medication ranging from stretching, physiotherapy and certain other exercises which are to be administered under the guidance of a professional. Neck pain treatment usually consists of some kind of exercises that need to be done regularly in order to flex the muscles. Another injury that is common among 90% of the people is back pain which affects everyone at some point in their lives. Normally, people go in for pain killers or keeping ice packs on their backs or simply by resting, but is always advisable to go in for a back pain treatment in case the pain lasts for more than two weeks in order to understand the symptoms of the pain.


Another type of ailment that is common among old people and athletes is the knee pain and injury. Among old people it occurs due to age related problems as their bodies become fragile and bones become too weak to support their weight. Even if they walk for a few minutes they experience cramps and joint pain in their knees. Otherwise when there is too much pressure being exerted on the joints of our knees beyond a certain limit the muscles become swollen or in worst cases the ligament tears leading to serious injury, in which case immediate surgery would be required. If the injury is not very serious then some of the knee injury treatment that can be done at home is to rest, apply ointment on the affected area, to rub ice in order to reduce the swelling.
